Community Guidelines

The Solus community is a place to share what God is doing — verses that landed, prayers that were answered, peace found in hard seasons. It only works if it stays kind, honest, and safe. These rules are short on purpose.

What's welcome

• Sharing a verse, reflection, or testimony that's meaningful to you.
• Encouraging others — an "amen," a kind word, a quiet prayer.
• Honest expressions of struggle and hope. Doubt is welcome here.
• Respectful conversation across denominations and traditions.

What isn't tolerated

We have zero tolerance for any of the following. Posts will be removed and accounts may be suspended or permanently banned without warning.

• Hate speech — content that demeans or attacks people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religion, age, disability, or other protected characteristics.
• Harassment or bullying — targeted abuse, threats, intimidation, or repeated unwanted contact.
• Sexual or sexually suggestive content of any kind.
• Violence, gore, or shock content.
• Self-harm or suicide content presented in a way that could encourage or instruct others. If you are struggling, please reach out — see resources below.
• Spam, scams, or solicitation — including chain messages, fake testimonies, MLM pitches, and links to malware.
• Impersonation — pretending to be someone else, a pastor, a public figure, or another Solus user.
• Illegal activity — content promoting illegal drugs, weapons sales, human trafficking, or other crimes.
• Misinformation presented to deceive — particularly around medical, mental health, or safety topics.
• Doxxing or sharing private information — phone numbers, addresses, or any personal information about another person without their consent.
• Misuse of scripture to harm others — using verses as weapons, twisting context to attack a group, or claiming exclusive divine authority.

How we enforce

Reports are reviewed by Solus staff. Depending on severity:

• Minor first violation — content removed, warning sent.
• Repeat or moderate violation — temporary suspension (7–30 days) and content removal.
• Severe violation (hate speech, threats, sexual content involving minors, doxxing, illegal activity) — permanent ban, immediate content removal, and where required, escalation to law enforcement.

We do not negotiate enforcement. Decisions are final, but you may appeal once by emailing [email protected] within 14 days.

How to report or block

Tap the ••• menu on any community post:

• Report Post — sends the post to our moderation queue and hides it from your feed immediately.
• Block User — hides every post from that user from your feed, immediately and permanently. You can manage your block list in Settings → Blocked Users.

If you see something that needs urgent attention — threats of violence, self-harm in progress, or content involving minors — email [email protected] with "URGENT" in the subject. We aim to respond within 24 hours.

Age requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to post or interact in the Solus community. If you are under 13, please use Solus only for personal devotionals — not the community feed.

Account safety

Don't share your account. Don't ask others for theirs. If you believe your account has been compromised, change your password and email [email protected].

Final word

Solus is a small space. We ask that you treat everyone here as you would someone sitting next to you in a church pew — with grace, patience, and the assumption that they are loved by the same God who loves you.
